1956 Pontiac Junior Star chief photos and video
These were made for Pontiac dealers in 56 by Silvestri Art studios of Chicago to be used in dealership promotions. They are not pedal cars, they are Powered promotionals with electric drive, headlights and taillights. They are larger than a pedal car and would be considered a go kart by todays standards, but they were never made for speed! They were for style! I have been collecting information on these for many years and I recently had someone donate some home videos and color images from the 50s so I decided to make this video. The music doesn't go well with the video but I thought it would be better than silence? Either way enjoy the trip through this very obscure niche of vintage automobile collecting.
And before anyone asks, These have not been made since 1956 so I do not have any for sale. Only originals are available and they are very rare and expensive. If you are lucky enough to own one I do make some reproduction parts for them! And many others for cars made by the powercar company of Mystic CT.
