Parksville Ladder 41
This Canadian ladder truck now has a little piece of fire fighting history mounted on it's extended front bumper. It's a Sterling #30 electromechanical siren.It was commonly seen on American La France Fire Apparatus for many years. It was usually purchased by Fire Dept's with the red light option on the front.
I replaced the bearings in this beauty and was able to find chrome for it on ebay. The pedestal mount was purchased from B&M siren in California. It's actually for a B&M Super Chief but fit's the Sterling nicely.
